Today's medical market provides many hospitals with different modalities, PACS, information systems, specific viewers and data repositories without the capability to interface or share the data. OptiCor's Gateway was designed to help interfacing between the different systems allowing the exchange of data between different locations using standard interfaces (e.g., HL7, DICOM, SQL, ASCII, others) for that purpose. It allows the transfer of data from one station to another (of a different vendor) with a high level of security (HIPAA). It also allows to send images and data from different departments to any long-term storage (e.g., Jukebox, NAS, RAID, PACS, etc.) located inside or outside the hospital. The Gateway also provides a mechanism for images and data to be retrieved from any department on any station and when combined with other OptiMed's system components it can provide an Enterprise Solution.
