The GastroSoft pancreatic stent is made of soft polyurethane. The material is kink-resistant and very flexible. The flap prevents unintentional displacement of the stent into the pancreatic duct. Usually, the pancreatic stent is discharged naturally after a few days, so a follow-up X-ray with no further endoscopic intervention is needed.
