CO₂-Angioset

ALTERNATIVE CONTRAST MEDIUM SYSTEM FOR IMAGING THE ARTERIAL AND VENOUS VESSELS
  • Setting of the desired gas volume, adapted to the respective region of examination
  • Battery and power independent

VALUABLE ALTERNATIVE TO IODINATED CONTRAST MEDIUM.

The CO₂-Angioset is a sterile disposable product for arterial and venous vascular imaging. Medical grade carbon dioxide with a purity ≥ 99.55 vol. % is used as the contrast medium.

Especially in patients with renal insufficiency who are intolerant to iodine-containing CM, the CO₂ -Angioset is recommended as a valuable alternative.¹’³ The CO₂ -Angioset is characterised by its good imaging quality and provides reliable diagnoses, especially in small vessels such as the infrapopliteal segment.³

For the use of the Angioset, a pressure reduction valve from Gloor Medical is required, which is offered in 2 versions:

Version 1: Pressure reduction valve for the gas cylinder connection

Version 2: Pressure reduction valve for the hospital CO₂ wall connection

BENEFITS OF CO2 ANGIOGRAPHY

THE ONLY 100% BIOCOMPATIBLE CONTRAST AGENT AND THE ALTERNATIVE TO CONVENTIONAL IDOINATED CONTRAST ANGIOGRAPHY

  • No adverse reactions such as allergy, nephrotoxicity and hepatoxicity
  • Can be used for patients with an intolerance to iodinated contrast medium
  • Can be used in combination with iodinated contrast agenst (to reduce side effects of non-ionic contrast agents containing iodine)
  • Only small-calibre accesses are required (20G, 3F)

GENERAL COMPARISON: CO2 VERSUS (IODINATED) CONTRAST AGENTS:

Physics Contrast agent CO2
